What we collect

DownloadThis collects the minimum data needed to process your request. When you submit a URL, we temporarily store the resulting file for up to 24 hours. We do not require an account or collect personal information to use the service.

File handling

Video and audio files produced by DownloadThis are stored temporarily on secure servers and automatically deleted within 24 hours. Files are encrypted in transit using TLS. We never access your downloaded files for any purpose other than delivering them to you, and we never share them with third parties.

URLs you submit

URLs you paste into DownloadThis are used solely to fetch the requested media. We do not log or store submitted URLs beyond the duration of the active request, and we do not associate URLs with your identity.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymous usage data such as page views, browser type, and device type. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

Cookies

DownloadThis does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Vercel Analytics may set cookies required for anonymous session tracking.

Third-party services

We use Cloudflare R2 for temporary file storage and Google Cloud Run for processing. Each service has its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Third-party platforms

When you submit a URL from a third-party platform, DownloadThis fetches the media on your behalf. Your use of any third-party platform is governed by that platform's own terms and privacy policy.

Children

DownloadThis is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
